Outdoor Classroom

monarch crystalis on wall The Outdoor Classroom (formerly called the Young Naturalist Series) is a set of individual three-hour workshops designed for adults working with a group of students. The goal is to incorporate more outdoor learning time and outdoor exploration into the school day. The workshops are available for groups of from 10-25 educators and are held in your community.

We are currently offering: Nature Journaling, Drawing from Nature, and Nature Games. Each of these teacher professional development opportunities provides guidance on how to include natural science instruction in your program, how to work with students outside, and a sampling of activities to help you do so.
